The Scribd API is a REST-based programming API with methods for uploading, converting, editing, deleting, and searching documents. You can use Scribd API as a back-end for an document-processing application, without having to write a document processing system yourself.

Click here for the Scribd API documentation, and there are client libraries available for the Scribd API in a number of programming languages.
